Napoleon Bonaparte used two litres of Eau de Cologne every day as his portable bathing kit. When our friend Arthur McBain played Marshall Marchand in Ridley Scott's film, Napoleon, we made him this authentic 19th Century style cologne of his own to wear while filming.
Taking the formulas of the era as inspiration but then getting carried away with new natural materials which we think perfumers would have loved to use at the time, we created a luxurious blend of flowers, herbs, citrus fruits and (animal friendly) musk & ambergris, in the style of an early 19th Century eau de toilette.
This Eau de Parfum is made with:
- Neroli, lavender, kumquat, cedrat
- Bergamot, magnolia leaf, jasmine, chamomile
- Musk (Ambrettolide), ambergris (Ambrofix), sandalwood
"Please don’t stop making wonderful fragrances." - Dela Carter
