Here are our 2025 workshops, created for all levels; from beginners to serious scentsmiths.
Our one day perfume making courses offer a hands-on introduction to the exciting world of perfumery, perfect for a Saturday afternoon. For those ready to go further, our five day courses are created for serious fragrance makers. And for those looking to launch their own brand, our Brick Walls & Flaming Hoops workshops cover perfume safety, regulations, and techniques.

We’ve got three kinds of perfumery workshops (plus guest events).
1. One Day Perfume Making Courses
Join us for one of our Saturday perfume making courses from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. (or 6 p.m. if you need longer).
These hands-on sessions offer an introduction to perfumery and are perfect for an afternoon of fragrance making.

2. Brick Walls & Flaming Hoops
Come to one of our Tuesday workshops from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. if you want to learn how to navigate the exciting (and slightly tricky) world of perfume production.
It’s a professional workshop for people making perfume to sell. We cover perfume safety and manufacturing regulations and techniques.

3. Five Day Perfume Making Courses
We've released our Scent School dates for 2025. These are five day workshops for people with a serious interest in perfume.

Events, Exhibitions, and Fairs
We shall also be out in the wild in 2025, attending events, exhibitions, and fairs, and at some of these, we’ll be offering workshops to attendees.

Rose Retreat, Bulgaria, October 11–15
In 2025, we shall be in Bulgaria from October 13-17 for an immersive exploration of saffron and tobacco scents. If you fancy coming along, you can reserve a place by getting in touch with Silvia at Rose Overdose.
We’re also heading to California (May 2025) and Vermont (September 2025) for workshops as well as taking part in London Craft Week from May 12-18.

Scenthusiasm Community

In 2019, our perfumer Sarah McCartney started Scenthusiasm Scent School, a Patreon-based community for anyone interested in learning more about perfume making and in being part of an adventurous perfume makers group.
It’s a monthly subscription (or you can book for a year and get a discount) including monthly formulas, Zoom Q&A sessions, and regular posts about perfumery.
Sarah had been asked for several years if she could put her classes and workshops online, for everyone unable to travel to West London and this was her solution. Now, there’s an ever-growing library of formulas, videos, and discussions available for all members.
Perfume making membership starts at £10 + VAT per month for Maker Level 1 because we really want to share our combined knowledge as widely as possible. We’d much rather have 100 interested people paying £120 a year, than 10 people paying £1200 a year to join in.

Maker Level 1 includes Zoom sessions and formulas.

Maker Level 2 includes more Zoom sessions and additional formulas.

Maker Level 3 is for people who intend to do this professionally.
Perfume can be all too "exclusive", and excluding people is nothing to be proud of (I.M.H.O.) so we’re making it as inclusive as we can manage.
Our Patreon is for people who would like to join a worldwide scent making collective, to practise making fragrances, and discuss and share ideas, formulas and materials.
Explore our Scenthusiasm Community to find which membership level is for you; we’ve got options for people who want to make their own fragrances, have our new fragrances sent to them, and there’s even an option if you want to enjoy both of those things.
The community already includes indie perfumers with their own brands, total beginners, and everyone in between, plus vloggers and bloggers who want to understand perfume a bit better and people simply interested in perfume making who enjoy being part of our little world of scent.
We have an arrangement so Scenthusiasm members can buy materials from us, if they want to, and there are discounts for events and classes.
